Your Role in Our Journey
Wine Enthusiast Sales Representatives are motivated team players working in an exciting wine culture environment with the opportunity for high earning potential. At Wine Enthusiast our impeccable reputation, catalog circulation and innovative online marketing keep the customers calling us. We are seeking a candidate with a competitive spirit and positive attitude to join our energetic group of professionals who assists customers with all of their wine related needs. Position is an in office/call center style position.
What You'll Be Uncorking
Key Responsibilities:
  • Become an expert on all Wine Enthusiast products, including wine from our Wine Express division, and use that expertise to close sales.
  • Provide customers with an excellent overall sales experience while providing the correct information and specifications for the proper wine product solution.
  • Manage multiple sales consultations simultaneously in a high-volume ecommerce sales center, seamlessly transitioning between inbound calls, live online chat, and email communications.
  • Act as a guide for online shoppers, confidently troubleshooting front-end website glitches, cart abandonment issues, or online ordering friction over the phone to save and close the sale.
  • Capitalize on routine customer inquiries (stock checks, shipping updates, product questions) as organic opportunities to upsell and cross-sell premium products and accessories.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales consultations at once utilizing tele-sales as well as online chat and email communication with potential customers.
  • Ability to handle multiple customers and projects in a high paced sales center environment.
  • Potential to represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
  • Perform wine cellar consultations and design wine cellars utilizing CAD Software programs from the information provided.
  • Prospecting potential customers in both our D2C and B2B divisions.

The Perfect Blend (What You Bring to the Table)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a professional selling environment with a strong preference for inside sales experience within a fast-paced ecommerce or digital retail ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of hitting upselling and average-order-value (AOV) targets by identifying customer needs during inbound consultative calls.
  • Comfortable navigating the technical side of online retail, with the ability to patiently guide customers through digital checkout issues, website glitches, and online portal navigation.
  • Ability to sell using exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all channels.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and various Social Media platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling in a premium, luxury category of products.
  • An interest and education in wine.
  • Ability to sell premium, luxury products, as well as be able to manage home and commercial project build outs.

This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, requiring employees to be onsite at our Valhalla, NY headquarters twice per week, with Tuesday designated as a required in-office day.
This role offers a competitive base salary of $40,000 - $45,000, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential of $85,000 - $100,000.
