(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Magnetic Resonance (MR or MRI) - Our client, a 50+ bed healthcare facility located near Westover in North Central VA, has a need for a MRI Tech to join their team. This is a Day shift position working Monday-Friday 8:30a-5pm.
The town offers quintessential Southern charm. Our streets are filled with boutique shops, award-winning chef inspired cuisine, and a thriving small business community. We are surrounded by historic landmarks and scenic byways, whereas our economy is routed in agriculture, advanced manufacturing, telecommunications and healthcare. The town is one of Virginias foodie destinations, attracting visitors from up and down the East Coast. Whether youre in the mood for smoked barbeque or duck confit poutine, there are a myriad of eateries from which to choose. But it goes much deeper than whats on the menu. The farm-to-table movement is alive and well here, borrowed from a centuries old agricultural heritage, with our chefs preparing what is fresh, right from the farm. With fantastic food, you must have great drinks, and there is plenty of liquid love to go around. The town is home to one of the first legal distilleries in the state of Virginia, were also home to Virginias only winery, brewery, and distillery, all on one campus!

The MRI technologist will work with the radiologist and fellow staff members to prepare patients and operate magnetic resonance equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. The MRI technologist works under general supervision in performing a variety of exams and procedures according to departmental protocol, as requested by physician order. The technologist will position the patients body part for imaging and set appropriate technical factors on the imaging equipment with a high degree of competency to ensure production of quality images for interpretation by the radiologist.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited school for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Experience: 2 years of healthcare experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT Registered in MRI, or eligible. Registry must be completed within 12 months of hire.
