We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Winery Concierge. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm and inviting experience as they visit our winery. Your role will involve greeting guests, managing reservations, facilitating tastings, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced and enjoyable environment.

This full-time role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to work evening shifts as needed.

Job Description
  • Guest Reception and Engagement:
    • Welcomes guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a positive first impression
    • Answers questions about the winery, its history, and the products offered
    • Guides visitors to the appropriate tasting areas, tours, or events
  • Reservation Management:
    • Handles phone and online inquiries regarding reservations, events, and tours
    • Schedules and confirm bookings, ensuring proper coordination with other winery departments
  • Tasting Room Support:
    • Assists in setting up and organizing the tasting room and reception area
    • Facilitates wine tastings by explaining wine selections, pairing suggestions, and unique characteristics
  • Retail and Sales Assistance:
    • Promotes and processes wine and merchandise sales
    • Assists guests with purchasing wine club memberships or special event tickets
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Maintains accurate records of reservations, visitor counts, and purchases
    • Handles guest feedback and escalates issues to management as needed
  • Event Support:
    • Supports winery-hosted events, including private tours, corporate gatherings, and weddings
    • Provides logistical support and maintain an upbeat atmosphere during events
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field (preferably in the wine or beverage industry); experience in a restaurant is preferred but not required
  • RBS and Food Handler Certifications required, or must be willing to complete certifications independently and at personal cost shortly upon hire
  • Basic knowledge of wines and the wine-making process (willingness to learn is a plus)
  • Proficiency with reservation software and basic office tools; Tock, Commerce 7
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Attention to detail to ensure areas and dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Pay Range: $24.00 - $26.00 an hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
