Job description

The Nautilus Pier 4 is looking for a talented, passionate, and knowledgeable wine director/somm to join our team. Pay is highly competitive and includes salaried work, shift work, and wine tips as well as paid time off, health benefits and access to dental and vision benefits as well. 

Successful Candidates will be excellent at self-management and self-motivation, be highly organized, have a love for hospitality and guest interaction, be a team player and thrive in an energetic atmosphere. They will enjoy building relationships with their team and guests and are enthusiastic about restaurant culture and continued education for employees. Top notch wine service and an excellent palate and a love for wine are necessary as well. 

Responsibilities are consistent with a typical wine director / sommelier position including but not limited to ownership over wine program creation, direction, organization, ordering, invoicing and inventory, floor management tasks as needed, and 5 shifts/wk of selling wine to guests during dinner service as as training and development of staff, and helping to improve our systems and culture.
