Hiring for the following schedule:

Sunday: 2pm - 10:30pm

Monday: 2pm - 10:30pm

Tuesday: Off

Wednesday: 6:30am - 2:30pm

Thursday: Off

Friday: 6:30am - 2:30pm

Saturday: 6:30am - 2:30pm

The Wine Associate is responsible for being a role model for team members in charming and captivating Vino Volo customers through sophisticated customer service and wine expertise at the tasting bar, in the tasting lounge, or in the retail section of the store. They lead and deliver exceptional customer service by interacting with guests in a friendly and timely manner, using their complete knowledge of wine and food menus to take orders, answer questions and make suggestions. You will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public by impressing customers with the Vino Volo experience. The primary goals of the Associate are to 1) impress customers with the quality of the Vino Volo experience; and 2) sell flights, glasses, food pairings and retail bottles of wine to these same customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Must love and take care of guests!
โ€ข Must have a passion for guest service.

โ€ข Present the menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding wine, food, and service.

โ€ข Responsible for wine knowledge including, but not limited to flavor profiles and talking points of current list along with our pricing guidelines
โ€ข Actively up-sell guests on food, wine and merchandise in order to enhance their experience
โ€ข Totals bill accurately and accept payment following established guidelines.

โ€ข Process all point-of-sale transactions in a quick, efficient manner while complying with the companyโ€™s Cash
Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures.
โ€ข Know all specials and back-bar offerings
โ€ข Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills through the use of available training materials.
โ€ข Works together with fellow employees and management to ensure that all guests have the best experience possible.
โ€ข Following our service standards which requires having a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with cooks and other staff.
โ€ข As an Associate, we expect that you assume the role of a salesperson with a commitment to upsell, increase check average, compete in sales incentives, and promote the brand.
โ€ข Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
โ€ข Assist with food, beverage receiving and storage.
โ€ข Prepare food when necessary.
โ€ข Check food quality and temperatures throughout the day to maintain Health and Safety regulations.
โ€ข Follow inventory control procedures to reduce product loss.
โ€ข Support other areas of the bar as requested, such as seating customers, answering telephones, stock work, cleanup, and documentation.
โ€ข Responds appropriately to guest concerns.
โ€ข Complete all side work duties which may include sweeping and mopping.
โ€ข Follow proper procedures and guidelines for opening and closing the restaurant.
โ€ข Enthusiastically supports decisions once they have been made by management.
โ€ข Maintain current adult beverage certification. Ensure responsible service of alcohol.
โ€ข Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those relating to food safety.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:
โ€ข Successful completion of Wine Associate Training and Test.
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year college degree is favored.
โ€ข Work experience must include one or more years as a server in a well-respected full-service restaurant, wine bar or equivalent position in the hospitality industry.
โ€ข All applicants must be 21 years of Age

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
โ€ข Skilled at and enjoys delivering excellent customer service
โ€ข Enthusiasm for wines and a desire to learn more about wines
โ€ข Highly responsible and reliable
โ€ข Experienced with and proficient in using retail point-of-sale systems
โ€ข 21 years of age or older (must be able to taste and evaluate product)
โ€ข Must be able to pass the required TSA screening and background check
โ€ข Must be able to obtain and hold a valid airport employee badge at all times
โ€ข Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in writing.
โ€ข Able to work overtime or late into the evening in the event of flight delays.
โ€ข Able to carry and balance a flight of wine
โ€ข Able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
