Position Overview:
The Deployment Engineer is a customer-facing technical role responsible for the successful deployment, configuration, and operational support of complex software solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role works cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure solutions are delivered in a secure, scalable, and production-ready manner.
This position aligns with Deployment Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Customer-Facing DevOps Engineer roles commonly found at leading technology companies and emphasizes hands-on execution, automation, and operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Deploy, configure, upgrade, and support software solutions within customer environments, including pre-deployment readiness validation and post-deployment verification
  • Collaborate with Agile development teams and internal stakeholders to implement robust, secure, and scalable technical solutions
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers during deployment and onboarding activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, infrastructure, networking, and cloud platforms
  • Implement and maintain environments using automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code best practices
  • Ensure all deployments adhere to organizational standards, security requirements, and industry best practices
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including deployment guides, runbooks, installation procedures, and architecture diagrams
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure optimizations
  • Travel to customer locations to support onsite deployments, troubleshooting, and customer engagement as required

  • Minimum 2 years of system administration experience in Linux/Unix and Windows environments
  • Minimum 2 years of networking experience in enterprise or customer-facing environments
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-service orientation
  • Process-driven with strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 70%

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience with coding and scripting languages (Python, SQL, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, or Ruby)
  • 4+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 4+ years of experience using infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • 4+ years of experience supporting production systems in cloud, hybrid, or enterprise environments
