About the Role:
Join our team as a Window Sales Representative in beautiful Santa Cruz, CA! Drive to clients' homes, present window products, and manage the full sales cycle from consultation through final order. This is a Salary plus commission-based role for someone who self motivator and already understands windows, from an installation or sales background.
The ideal candidate is confident, articulate, and personable, with the instincts to read a homeowner, build trust quickly, and know when to push toward a close versus when a lead isn't worth more time. After securing a signed agreement, the rep returns to the office to build the formal quote, send it for signature, and place the order through the Milgard CTB portal or others.
Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers at the shop and assist them using models in the showroom.
  • Drive to customers' homes for in-person sales consultations
  • Present window options, materials, styles, and performance features to homeowners
  • Listen to customer needs and recommend the right window solutions for their home and budget
  • Control the pace of the meeting; read the customer and disengage from low-probability leads
  • Measure windows and openings on-site using a tape measure and standard practices
  • Confidently close sales during the in-home appointment
  • Return to the office to prepare accurate quotes and send to customers for signature
  • Place finalized orders through the Milgard CTB (Configure-to-Build) program or other portals
  • Manage own leads, appointments, schedule, and territory; follow up to maintain relationships
  • Achieve sales targets while collaborating with the installation team to deliver outstanding customer service and satisfaction.
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitor offerings; represent the company professionally
Requirements:
  • Window installation experience OR 2 years of window sales experience is required (no exceptions)
  • Strong math and measurement skills; able to read a tape measure accurately and confidently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; confident, outgoing, and articulate
  • Strong listening skills paired with the ability to guide and control a sales conversation
  • Ability to read people and set boundaries on time spent with unproductive leads
  • Proven ability to close sales and secure signed agreements
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customers' homes
  • Strong computer skills; comfortable with quoting software, email, and digital order systems
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check
