Job description

Locations in Berwyn and Elk Grove Village, opening since 1958, ABC is seeking an automotive porter, general shop cleanup, and apprentice to join our team. You will perform routine cleaning, driving vehicles back and forth to our accounts, applying automotive environmental packages when needed, and aiding in the installation of basic vehicle bolt-on accessories. Shop cleanup, like taking out garbage, general shop cleanup, and shuffling cars. We would love to hear from you. Please apply today! We are located on Ogden Ave in Berwyn. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Must have a clean driving record and be able to speak English. Responsibilities: • Ensure the shop floor and other work spaces are clean, and follow all safety guidelines as required • Keep shop vehicles up to date on maintenance, clean, and ready to go • Keep the store clean during downtime. Take out all trash, clean floors, and assist with working on cars with staff if time permits • Transport vehicles back and forth to car dealers and other accounts • Help install general entry-level parts to cars like window shades, hitches, step bars, bed covers, etc.. Qualifications: • Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds • Comfortable using car lifts, jacks, and other garage equipment safely • Must be able to have mobility to get in and out of cars and work on them • The candidate must have a good driving record Compensation: $18 - $26 per hour
