Job description

Blind Installation Technician

Temp-to-Hire

Location: Friendswood, TX 77546

Shift: 7am-4:30pm M-F

Payr: $17.00/ hour

Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately measure windows using tape or lasers for accurate ordering of custom window treatments
  • Safely install mounting brackets, secure hardware, and hang various window coverings (e.g., drapes, traditional and motorized blinds, shutters, and awnings).
  • Remove existing window coverings, treat surrounding surfaces, and prepare area for new installation
  • Instruct clients on product maintenance, operation, and safety features (especially for motorized treatments)
  • Maintain a clean work environment, safely manage ladders, and comply with all safety regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in carpentry, construction, or in-home installation is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools (drills, screwdrivers) and the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strong verbal communication, and a friendly, courteous demeanor.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
