SG2 Recruiting has partnered with Wind RiverX to identify an IT Systems Engineer who is excited to help build the technology foundation of a fast-growing defense technology company.

This is a unique opportunity to join Wind RiverX during a period of rapid growth, where you'll work directly alongside senior infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity professionals to design, implement, and support the company's enterprise IT environment.

The successful candidate will help deploy and integrate enterprise technologies including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based infrastructure while supporting secure environments that meet federal and international cybersecurity requirements.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys learning, solving technical problems, and gaining hands-on experience across systems administration, enterprise applications, cloud technologies, automation, and cybersecurity.

What You Will Be Doing:

Build Enterprise IT Infrastructure

  • Assisting with the implementation and administration of enterprise IT systems supporting Wind RiverX's internal operations

  • Supporting enhancements and customization of Salesforce and ServiceNow platforms

  • Helping configure Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and enterprise collaboration technologies

  • Supporting user identity, authentication, and access management

  • Assisting with workstation deployment, endpoint management, and device lifecycle activities

Support Enterprise Applications

  • Configuring workflows and integrations between enterprise business systems

  • Developing and maintaining automation using Node.js and APIs

  • Supporting data integration between Salesforce, ServiceNow, and other enterprise platforms

  • Troubleshooting application issues and supporting end users

  • Assisting with testing, upgrades, and new feature implementations

Partner with Infrastructure and Security Teams

  • Working alongside the Network Architect and Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to implement secure enterprise architectures

  • Assisting with network documentation and systems configuration

  • Supporting cybersecurity control implementation and system hardening

  • Participating in vulnerability remediation efforts

  • Helping maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures

Support Cloud and Systems Administration

  • Assisting with administration of multi-cloud infrastructure

  • Supporting virtualized environments and enterprise storage solutions

  • Monitoring system performance, availability, and security

  • Supporting backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives

  • Participating in incident response and root cause analysis

Contribute to Continuous Improvement

  • Identifying opportunities to automate routine administrative tasks

  • Improving operational processes through scripting and workflow automation

  • Staying current on emerging technologies and cybersecurity best practices

  • Supporting special IT projects as the company continues to grow

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Approximately 1โ€“4 years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments

  • Experience administering Windows environments

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365

  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID)

  • Experience with Node.js

  • Experience supporting Salesforce integrations and customizations

  • Experience supporting ServiceNow integrations and customizations

  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and system integrations

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

  • U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain and/or maintain US Government clearance

It's a Plus If You Have This:

  • Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-171 or CMMC

  • Cybersecurity certifications

  • Cloud certifications

  • Experience supporting government contractors or highly regulated organizations
