Teacher Aide - Float
Barbara C Wilson School, Woodbury

The Barbara C. Wilson Preschool serves 15 classrooms of children with a variety of developmental needs including those with autism spectrum disorder, speech and language disorders and related developmental disorders.

Qualifications:

  • New York State Teacher Assistant Certification within six months of hire date.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Fingerprint Clearance   
  • State Central Registry Clearance

Primary Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assist the assigned teacher as requested in all areas of the daily classroom routine using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.  Assist the children as requested by the teacher; maintain health and safety of the classroom environment by performing assigned tasks.
