Job description

Wilo USA LLC is a subsidiary of Wilo SE, which is headquartered in Dortmund, Germany. Wilo is a leading manufacturer of pumps & pump systems for water & wastewater treatment, potable water distribution, pressure boosting, and sewage collection. Wilo USA acquired Weil Pump and Scot Pump in 2017, American-Marsh Pumps in 2019, and QuantumFlo in October 2021.
We are seeking a phenomenal Application Sales Engineer who is responsible for achieving sales objectives within an assigned product range and/or territory by actively pursuing sales opportunities and building strong customer relationships. This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling to promote solutions, develop accurate quotations, provide application and technical support, and successfully close orders. The Application Sales Engineer works cross-functionally to coordinate internal sales, service, and logistics activities, ensuring a seamless customer experience from initial engagement through order fulfillment.
Primary Job Duties:
  • Promote the sale of Water Management products through channel partner networks, consulting engineers, contractors, OEM partners, direct-to-end-users, and other channels, as appropriate.
  • Work in conjunction with the sales team as a key technical advisor, identifying and providing reliable solutions to assure customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales process.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
  • Acknowledge and respond to RFQs/RFI's in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize technical knowledge, processes, and internal resources to assess the potential application for Water Management products and offer solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop technical offers for engineered products, including, but not limited to, cost estimates, energy analysis, drawings, specifications, engineering submittals, and other information as requested by the customer.
  • Positively contribute to the following departments: Sales, Order Management, Purchasing, Aftermarket, Project Management, and Operations.
  • Resolve customer challenges in a manner consistent with the company's mission, values, and financial objectives.

  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills
  • 3-5 years of business experience
  • Proficient with: ERP Systems, Outlook, Microsoft Products, Adobe Pro, Pump Selection Software, etc.
  • Competitive nature with a strong desire to succeed in a team environment
