Job description

As part of Richardson's global agriculture and food business, our food and ingredients division plays a central role in connecting farm to table through our vertically integrated supply chain. As a leading pasta manufacturer, Richardson produces a wide range of high-quality dry pasta products for diverse markets and end uses.

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Mill Operator at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate milling equipment at optimum levels to ensure designated quality and extraction levels

  • Monitor regrind system and work with packaging personnel to keep the system running efficiently

  • Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule and HACCP documentation

  • Perform duties and responsibilities of the Grain Receiver/Loader position on an as-needed basis

  • Proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Must successfully complete IAOM correspondence course in Milling Science within one year of beginning role as Mill Operator

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and computer skills

  • 2+ years in manufacturing environment with wheat milling experience

  • Mechanical ability to operate and maintain milling equipment

Physical Requirements:
Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Crouch, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods

  • Work in dusty, high heat/humidity environments and confined spaces

  • Willing to wear a respirator as needed

  • Make fine distinctions by sound

  • Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually
