Job description

General Definition:

  • Promote positive customer relations by providing a full range of informational services to patrons upon entry to the facility in a friendly, professional manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greets customers upon entry to simulcast facility, grandstand, or any other designated area where customer's entry or patronage is required in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Furnishes information (both printed and verbal) regarding all customer-related services provided throughout the facility.
  • Provides direction to groups scheduled for specific events regarding all informational services and products.
  • Approaches all encounters with guest and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Monitors guest for problems and reports any such findings to Department Manager.
  • Maintains and completes all opening/closing duties according to procedures set forth within the department.
  • Dependability, good attendance, and occasional overtime required.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as scheduled.
  • Have the ability to accomplish a multitude of duties as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires excellent communication skills, basic math and reasoning ability under extreme public scrutiny.
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks as assigned.
  • Excellent customer service and cash handling skills required.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English and to follow instructions as given.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Data entry skills a plus.

Training:

  • 3 - 6 months of cash handling experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications/Other:

  • Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions.
