Job description

Summary/Objectives
The Shop Technician will be responsible for the setup of new and used copiers, printers, scanners, and wide-format equipment. They will learn how to perform network connectivity and troubleshoot equipment failures. This individual should possess basic computer skills. They will help develop ongoing processes to decrease the turn-around time for new and used equipment. They will contribute innovative ideas to enhance production and ensure the continued success of the team. The Shop Technician will be responsible for accurately tracking and managing parts/supply inventory. They will participate in team building and attend team meetings.
Essential Functions

  • Setup and install accessories on new equipment.
  • Turn around and install/remove accessories on used equipment.
  • Troubleshoot errors and failures.
  • Track and manage parts and supply inventory.
  • Complete training classes on new equipment.

Work Environment
This job operates in a shop environment. This role uses standard shop tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and occasionally hammers. This role also uses shop electronics such as computers, multimeters.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
Must be able to move equipment (machines typically have casters).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full time, Monday through Friday, 40 hrs/week.
Occasional weekend and evenings may be required.
Travel
Occasional travel to attend off-site technical training courses, seminars, and assisting other shop locations.
