Job description

Lead the Floor. Set the Tone. Join the Crew.

Front of House Manager | The Wicked Loon | Wolfeboro, NH
$23–$25+ per hour DOE

The Wicked Loon is a high-volume upscale waterfront restaurant on the town docks in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, known for fresh coastal food, handmade cocktails, and a guest experience that feels polished, lively, and genuinely fun.

As we head into our fourth summer, we're looking for an experienced Front of House Manager to help lead the floor through a busy seasonal run from May through October.

Most importantly, you will help lead the team into service, through service, and out of service - setting the tone, managing the pace, supporting staff, interacting with guests, and making sure standards hold from open to close.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to read a dining room, keep service moving, support the team in real time, and hold a high bar without making it feel forced.

What You'll Be Doing
  • lead lunch and dinner service on the floor
  • help prepare the team before service and keep them focused during service
  • support hiring, training, and development of front-of-house staff
  • hold staff accountable to service standards, appearance, and follow-through
  • manage guest flow and help maintain the pace of service
  • resolve guest issues professionally and calmly
  • work closely with the kitchen, bar, and support team
  • assist with opening, closing, and end-of-day procedures
Who We're Looking For

We want someone who:

  • has previous restaurant leadership experience
  • is confident in a busy, hands-on service environment
  • can lead with urgency, professionalism, and accountability
  • takes pride in details, hospitality, and execution
  • understands that great service should feel polished, personal, and effortless

Relationships matter here, but this is not a role for someone more interested in being liked than respected.

Why Work Here

The Wicked Loon has energy, style, and a real sense of place. It's busy, it's beautiful, and when the team is clicking, there's nothing better.

This role is seasonal to start, with the potential to become year-round for the right person.

Compensation

$23–$25+ per hour, depending on experience.
