Job description

Simmonds, Martin & Helmbrecht of Advantia Health is looking for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our practices in Frederick, Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Damascus, MD. We are seeking a WHNP with solid GYN experience as well as antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum experience that includes patients with varying medical conditions (diabetes, hypertension, etc.)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
  • Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
  • Develops and implements patient management policies and procedures
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
  • Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
  • Current state licensure as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (Maryland preferred)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (Maryland preferred)
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required
  • DEA and CDS eligible
  • 1+ years' experience working in the women's health field.
