Job description

Position: Team Member
Reports to: Shift Leader / Assistant Manager / General Manager
Job Overview
The Team Member is responsible for providing friendly, accurate, and efficient service to guests while preparing quality food products and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment. This role supports restaurant operations by delivering excellent guest service, following food safety standards, and ensuring compliance with Wendy's brand expectations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Hospitality
  • Greet guests promptly and courteously according to Wendy's service standards.
  • Take guest orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
  • Answer guest questions regarding menu items, promotions, and restaurant services.
  • Ensure guests receive friendly, timely, and accurate service.
  • Resolve basic guest concerns and communicate issues to management when necessary.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude during all guest interactions.

Food Preparation & Quality
  • Prepare and assemble menu items according to Wendy's recipes, procedures, and portion standards.
  • Operate grills, fryers, beverage equipment, and other kitchen tools safely, as permitted by applicable state age requirements.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and product presentation standards.
  • Follow food holding times, labeling, and rotation procedures.
  • Restock food, paper products, condiments, and supplies throughout the shift.

Cash Handling & Restaurant Operations
  • Process cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front counter, dining room, kitchen, and service areas.
  • Support opening, closing, and shift change procedures.
  • Follow company cash handling, safety, and security procedures.
  • Assist with drive-thru operations when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Cleaning & Sanitation
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, dining room tables, counters, equipment, and workstations.
  • Sweep and mop floors, remove trash, stock supplies, and maintain restroom cleanliness as assigned.
  • Perform cleaning tasks, including but not limited to wiping surfaces, cleaning equipment, maintaining exterior areas, and any other cleaning or side work tasks assigned by management.

Teamwork & Professionalism
  • Work collaboratively with team members and management to support restaurant operations.
  • Follow directions from managers and shift leaders.
  • Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and consistent attendance.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform standards.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
