Job description

Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, Adults, and the CD population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well.  Wellstone is currently looking to fill a Float Therapist position that will cover Outpatient group services.

The IOP Float Therapist will provide therapeutic services both in our outpatient program, for children, youth, and adults suffering from Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders. The Float Therapist will work primarily Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed. Coverage provided will be at the discretion of the Director of Outpatient based on the needs of the program.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a clinically related mental health field.

Experience: Float Therapist prefers, but does not require, two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. This time in the field can include practicum and internship studies or work at a mental health institution while an undergraduate.

License: Float Therapist should be licensed as a LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC in the state of Indiana (provisional is acceptable as well.)

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and CPI training prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Float Therapist must be willing to work flexible hours (primary hours are 8:30a-5p) and additional as necessary. Weekend coverage may be required, as needed.
