Job description

Immediate opening for a Pharmacist Manager in a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital setting. This role is based in Delaware and requires Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) responsibilities with active staffing duties.
Location:

  • Rehabilitation hospital in Delaware
  • Facility operates with a 36-bed capacity
Schedule:
  • Pharmacy hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • 40 hours per week, primarily weekday coverage
  • Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage may be required
Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on pharmacy staffing with 40 hours of direct pharmacist coverage weekly
  • Serve as Pharmacist in Charge overseeing all pharmacy operations and compliance
  • Supervise and provide leadership to pharmacy staff, including 1 full-time pharmacist and 2 technicians (full-time & PRN)
  • Manage pharmacy operations using Wellsky pharmacy information system and Pyxis automation
  • Perform IV compounding (non-chemotherapy)
  • Ensure safe and effective medication use within a rehabilitation hospital environment
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
  • Active pharmacist licensure with PIC authorization
  • Experience in pharmacy operations, staff supervision, and compliance
  • Proficient in using pharmacy information systems, preferably Wellsky
  • Skilled in Pyxis automation system
  • Demonstrated competency in IV compounding
  • Ability to manage weekend, after-hours, and on-call responsibilities
