Position Overview
Body Techniques is seeking a skilled and service-oriented Massage Therapist to join our wellness team at Google's Austin campus as an Independent Contractor.
As a trusted partner in Google's employee wellness initiatives, Body Techniques helps create opportunities for employees to recharge, reduce stress, and support their overall well-being. In this role, you'll provide high-quality massage services while contributing to a positive, professional, and welcoming experience for Google employees.
We're looking for someone who is dependable, adaptable, and passionate about delivering exceptional care in a corporate wellness environment.
What You'll Do
  • Deliver personalized massage sessions tailored to individual client needs and preferences
  • Create a comfortable, professional, and supportive experience for Google employees
  • Utilize sound clinical judgment to recommend appropriate treatment approaches
  • Maintain treatment areas, equipment, linens, and supplies in excellent condition
  • Represent both Body Techniques and Google with professionalism and integrity
  • Consistently arrive prepared and on time for scheduled shifts
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and program coordinators

Qualifications
Required
  • Current massage therapy license in good standing as required by Texas State
  • Active professional liability insurance
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on massage therapy experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable using technology and web-based systems in a professional setting
  • Reliable, organized, and responsive to communication
Preferred
  • Prenatal massage certification (24+ hours of continuing education)
  • Previous experience providing services in a corporate wellness environment
  • Experience working in chiropractic, medical, or spa settings
  • Familiarity with both table and chair massage techniques
Technology & Administrative Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating digital tools and can independently manage basic administrative tasks, including:
  • Participating in Google Meet video calls and messaging platforms
  • Monitoring and responding to email communications promptly
  • Managing appointments through Google's scheduling platform
  • Using the Body Techniques mobile application to complete service records and approve invoices
