AMR Management Services is excited to offer a rewarding career opportunity for a full-time remote Program Manager to join our team of association professionals.


The Program Manager works collaboratively on one or more client teams led by an Executive Director and has significant responsibility and decision-making authority for assigned programs, projects, and committees. 


The Program Manager is a client-facing role that works closely with association clients, volunteer leaders, committee members, members, sponsors, and AMR team members to ensure programs, projects, and services are delivered successfully. This is a role for someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action, building relationships, solving problems, keeping projects moving, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.


The pace is fast, with multiple projects, deadlines, meetings, and priorities happening simultaneously. Fast-paced does not mean long hours—it means being focused, productive, organized, and able to move efficiently from one priority to the next. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and self-disciplined, with excellent time and project management skills and the ability to independently manage their workload and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.


 Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that programs, activities, and services needed to fulfill the service agreement are performed to meet AMR’s obligations.
  • Serves as primary staff liaison to assigned committees and assists them in executing their goals and objectives. Committee responsibilities include scheduling/coordinating meetings, drafting agendas in collaboration with committee chair, taking minutes and following up on action items.
  • Manages all aspects of podcasts and webinars in coordination with committee chairs.
  • Manage Association website - update content, contribute to content creation, answer inquiries, ensure news/events and job board are updated; remove/hide outdated pages, monitor, and report on website analytics.
  • Manages all aspects of online member community – assisting users, troubleshooting, updating content, reviewing for accuracy, and other regular updates and maintenance as necessary.
  • Develop and foster partnerships with key association contacts, sponsors, and partnerships.
  • Manage association communications including print, online and social media platforms, recognizing and sharing content applicable to the association on a consistent schedule, monitor, report on analytics and implement strategies to maximize the association’s influence and reach.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and monitor and respond timely to all member inquiries and requests (phone, email, web form)
  • Provides conference support (pre, post and on-site) as assigned – manage speakers and sponsor programs, serve as staff liaison to program committee, create content for marketing materials, collect presentations, etc.
  • Work independently as an individual contributor requiring little supervision/oversight but also have the ability to work collaboratively internally and with volunteer leaders as a strong team player.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five years or more of related experience in a similar business or industry. Prior association or association management experience a plus.
  • Experience with communicating and collaborating with external clients/customers. 
  • Excellent time management skills – ability to organize and manage multiple projects/priorities.
  • Demonstrating tact and professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to independently manage projects from start to finish, establish priorities, track deadlines, and ensure follow-through.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and multiple projects are moving at the same time.
  • Strong self-motivation and self-discipline, with the ability to stay focused and productive while working remotely and without constant supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, use good judgment, anticipate needs, and proactively find solutions.
  • Superior  customer service skills and a strong commitment to responsiveness and follow-through.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 and its applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the schedules of association leaders will be essential.
  • The position will require availability for evening and weekend meetings and occasional travel for conferences, board meetings, and other client events.
