Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for the supervision of the Wellness Programs. They will assist in the supervision of the employees including assisting in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff. The supervision of programs includes maintaining and improving the quality and enrollment and retention of participants and being aware of current trends in the field.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Must be at least 18 years, have a high school diploma, or its equivalent.
  • Must have 2-3 years of wellness experience.
  • Current YMCA of the USA Certifications of Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer Instructor or the equivalent is required, or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
  • Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid
