About the Role

This is a volunteer board role for a Menโ€™s Wellness Board Member at The Healing Circle Foundation. The Menโ€™s Wellness Board Member will help guide programs, partnerships, and outreach efforts that support the mental, emotional, spiritual, and community well-being of men and boys. This role is ideal for someone passionate about healing, healthy masculinity, family support, leadership, and creating safe spaces for menโ€™s growth and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of programs and events focused on menโ€™s wellness, emotional health, leadership, and community connection.
  • Help identify and build relationships with organizations, clinics, counselors, community centers, faith groups, and wellness providers serving men and boys.
  • Assist with outreach to community partners across NYC and surrounding areas.
  • Contribute ideas for workshops, support groups, mentorship opportunities, and culturally responsive programming.
  • Help raise awareness of the foundationโ€™s services and mission within menโ€™s wellness spaces.
  • Participate in board discussions, planning sessions, and community engagement efforts.
  • Support fundraising, partnership development, and advocacy efforts when appropriate.
  • Offer insight on inclusion, accessibility, and respectful engagement with diverse communities.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in menโ€™s wellness, emotional healing, community support, or family resilience.
  • Experience in nonprofit work, outreach, wellness, counseling, education, or program development is preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think creatively about healing-centered and culturally responsive programming.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community care.
  • Willingness to collaborate with leadership and contribute time as a volunteer board member.

  • Experience with event planning, fundraising, or nonprofit partnership development.
  • Bilingual ability is a plus.
