Fortis is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide welding operations.
  • Prepare and clean metal surfaces for welding.
  • Select and use appropriate welding equipment and consumables.
  • Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity.
  • Maintain and adjust welding equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant welding experience OR completion of a welding apprenticeship.
  • Strong safety awareness and work ethic.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be located within a commutable distance to Greendale, IN
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
