Weill Cornell Psychological Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This LMFT position allows for a flexible working arrangement primarily through remote sessions, supported by our outpatient office facilities when in-person visits are necessary. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions and couple’s therapy to address relational challenges and individual mental health needs.
• Developing comprehensive treatment plans based on assessment outcomes and ongoing therapeutic progress.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist families in resolving conflicts, improving communication, and fostering healthier relationships.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and refer patients to additional services when necessary.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with practice standards.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including couples, children, and adolescents. You will specialize in addressing a range of issues, including but not limited to:

• Alcohol and substance abuse.
• Physical and psychological abuse.
• Grief and loss counseling.
• Conflict resolution among family members.
• Job-related stress and medical issues impacting family dynamics.
• Adjustment issues related to separation, divorce, and blended family challenges.
• Communication difficulties and family cut-offs.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Maryland.
• A strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining ethical standards.

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, the following experiences will be considered a plus:

• Experience in teletherapy and familiarity with digital health technologies.
• A background working with various age groups and backgrounds, particularly in family therapy settings.
• Skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
