WeGo Public Transit/DTO is pleased to announce we are now hiring for the position of Diesel Mechanic. Primary goal: Keep our buses on the road and in optimal operating condition.

Wage: $26.61 to $30.11 / Hour (Additional Pay Incentives Available With 'Transit Bus ASE' Certifications) Signing Bonus: $2,000 Benefits Include: Low Co-Pay Low Deductibles Health, Vision, Dental COMBINED Single - $140-$163 per month Single employee with children - $150-$183 per month Family - $160 - $203 per month Pension & Optional 401 K plan On-Site Fitness Center Paid CDL Training Uniform Allowance Tool Allowance Apply at: www.wegotransit.com Click "Careers" tab on home page If you have any questions about this position, contact WeGo Human Resources at 615-880-3991. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Any combination of experience/education/training that provides the required knowledge. Possess a valid TN Class "A" Driver's License with a "P" Endorsement (or successfully pass the applicable CDL Permit Tests, that includes paid CDL permit test training) Must pass drug and alcohol testing provisions for safety sensitive positions

Willingness and availability to work varying. Preferred Attributes: Degree in Diesel Technology, Automotive Technology or similar OR Three years demonstrated experience in heavy duty diesel / automotive repair. WeGo Mechanic: Journey-level knowledge and skill in the principles, practices, techniques, tools and equipment of the automotive and diesel repair trade.

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in gasoline / diesel-powered buses, trucks, cars and other heavy motorized mechanical equipment; operate and maintain electronic diagnostic and related equipment.
