SUMMARY: McCorquodale Transfer is looking for a Business Data Analyst to join our West Palm, Florida team.ย The Data Analyst is responsible for the collection and accurate entry of participant data including contact information, participation records, feedback and survey results into a database.ย  He or she will transform the raw data into structured information and draw conclusions to better inform business decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ย 
  • Enters and updates participants information in a database.
  • Verifies outdated information and makes any necessary changes to records.
  • Inputs text-based and numerical information from source documents.
  • Sorts and organizes hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
  • Assists with special projects that require large amounts of data entry.
  • Creates spreadsheets to track important participant information.
  • Manages the timely flow and production of the data.
  • Maintains the quality of data by reviewing for deficiencies, duplicate, or errors.
  • Structures large data sets to find usable information.
  • Searches for and investigates information contained in files.
  • Collaborates with team members to collect and analyze data.
  • Creates graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data.
  • Analyzes data to identify gaps, trends and draw conclusions.
  • Creates presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.
  • Generate standard/custom reports for summarizing business or participants data for review by executives/managers
  • Collaborates with local West Palm leadership to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Operates common office equipment, like scanners and printers.
  • Provides administrative support to the Director of Product Development & CTO.
  • Attends meetings and provides statistical data and analysis.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

  • Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required. A Bachelor's Degreeย in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or Business Administrationย (or equivalent experience) required.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Knowledge of Google workspace preferred.
