Location: 1525 S Franklin Ave, Colby, Kansas

Position Information: The Social Worker is responsible for provision of social services consultation in accordance with accepted social work practice and hospital policies and procedures. Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of patients, to achieve their optimal level of health. Evaluates social and family information and determines plan for social treatment. Serves as Patient Representative.

Pay Range: dependent upon experience.

What you'll do:

  • Evaluates social and family information and determines plan for social treatment.
  • Manages/supervises social services and activity staff.
  • Establishes and updates policies and procedures for the Social Services Department.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
  • One to two years experience in the social services field preferred.
  • Licensed social worker in the State of Kansas.
  • Computer skills
  • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Medical experience preferred, but not required.
