THE FORUM is recruiting for a hospitality focused Receptionist. This role is responsible for meeting and greeting residents, guests, prospective employees, suppliers, vendors, and outside service providers in a warm and professional manner on a daily basis. They are the first face someone sees when visiting our community!

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Receptionist.

  • Opens and closes the reception desk and properly secures all files, keys, and equipment in the office area.
  • Serve as a telephone receptionist for the Community during meetings, or exceeding Life Care Services' and the Forum's hospitality and service standards.
  • Greet visitors and inform them of the sign-in procedure.
  • Receive record, and transfer telephone calls to the appropriate parties; take and deliver telephone messages as necessary; acquire in-depth knowledge of the community telephone system to effectively utilize system features.
  • Assist with the Community's marketing/sales process by answering inquiries concerning the Community both over the telephone and in person; all inquiries should be handled according to Life Care Services' and the Forum's hospitality and service standards.
  • Accepts and records, as directed, all payments, reservations, appointments, and cancellations.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail according to Community policy.
  • Provide typing and/or word processing services for business office correspondence and residents. Assist with other business office functions, e.g., materials preparation, reports, etc.
  • Always maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information by following HIPAA regulations.
  • Practice all safety, loss prevention, and infection control procedures.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
  • Updates resident records such as absent logs, unit authorization records, pet records, and more.
  • Updates Resident Engagement Portal information and slides.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of one year's experience as a receptionist.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both in verbal and written communication.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications; ability to type at least 35wpm.
  • Must be able to create Word documents and correspondences using correct grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to use a personal computer, copy machine, and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completely.
  • Ability to provide secretarial and clerical services in a senior housing and health care environment that meet, or exceed, Life Care Services' hospitality and service standards.
  • Willingness to work with the elderly.
