Traffic Control Flagger – AirportCharlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)

East Coast Protective Services is seeking reliable and safety-focused Traffic Control Flaggers to support operations at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The Traffic Control Flagger is responsible for safely directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic in designated airport areas while maintaining a professional and customer-focused presence.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic using approved hand signals, flags, paddles, cones, barricades, and signs.
  • Assist with traffic flow around terminal roadways, parking areas, construction zones, loading areas, and other designated locations.
  • Stop, slow, or redirect traffic as directed by airport procedures and operational needs.
  • Maintain safe separation between vehicles, pedestrians, equipment, and work areas.
  • Monitor assigned areas for traffic hazards, congestion, accidents, blocked lanes, or unsafe conditions.
  • Assist with traffic control during construction, maintenance, special events, roadway closures, and emergencies.
  • Provide professional directions and assistance to passengers, drivers, contractors, and airport employees.
  • Immediately report accidents, security concerns, hazards, and unusual activity to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Complete required daily logs, incident reports, and other documentation.
  • Follow all airport-specific procedures, post orders, safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain required airport credentials and successfully complete all required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be reliable, professional, and safety-conscious.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must successfully complete required background screening and airport security clearance.
