Join VMD Corp (VMD), an Xcelerate Solutions company, a recognized leader in transportation security since 2002, providing advanced screening solutions that leverage the latest technology to protect travelers and safeguard the nation's critical air infrastructure. VMD Corp has an immediate need for a Part-Time Airport Employee Screener with an active NYS Security Guard License.
What you will do:
  • Grow in a fulfilling career as an Airport Employee Screener working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while identifying and preventing unsafe objects from exiting the airport.

Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct thorough and efficient screening of airport employees entering restricted areas.
  • Verify the identity and credentials of employees using established procedures.
  • Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
  • Enforce security regulations and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor employee behavior and report any suspicious activities or violations.
  • Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement to address security concerns or incidents.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to employees regarding the screening process.
  • Conduct property searches as part of the overall security strategy.
  • Respond promptly to alarms or alerts generated by screening equipment.
