The Banquet Experienced Cook plays a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality culinary experiences tailored to each event.
Job Summary:
The Banquet Experienced Cook at Black Desert Resort is responsible for supporting the daily banquet culinary operations by preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food for meetings, events, weddings, conferences, and resort functions in a clean, efficient, and organized environment. This role is designed for cooks with intermediate to advanced experience who can execute banquet production independently, manage station responsibilities, and support high-volume, detail-driven service in an ultra-premium resort environment. Placement as Cook II or Cook I will be based on experience, demonstrated skill, and leadership capability.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22.00/hour. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including experience and skill level.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Prepare, cook, and plate high-quality banquet menu items according to recipes and resort standards.
  • Assist in large-scale production for buffets, plated meals, receptions, and VIP hospitality functions.
  • Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation across all banquet dishes.
  • Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and direction from Banquet Chef to execute prep and service efficiently.
  • Organize mise en place for assigned stations and maintain readiness throughout service.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers.
  • Support banquet kitchen setup, breakdown, and sanitation while ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating products to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
  • Work collaboratively with culinary teammates, banquet captains, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Communicate clearly with leadership regarding shortages, quality issues, or equipment needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 1 to 5 years of banquet or high-volume culinary leadership experience, preferably in luxury hospitality or resort settings.
  • Proven ability to lead a kitchen team in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of banquet service flow, large-scale food production, and food safety regulations.
