Retail Sales Associate - Menswear and Formalwear

About Holmes Clothing / The Missionary Store
Holmes Clothing is a locally owned menswear store specializing in suits, dresswear, and accessories for weddings, proms, job interviews, LDS missions, and other important occasions. We are known for quality clothing, honest advice, and a welcoming, judgment-free environment where customers feel comfortable and cared for. We help customers feel confident for important moments in their lives.


Position Summary
We’re looking for a friendly, dependable Retail Sales Associate to help customers find the right clothing and accessories for some of life’s biggest moments. This is a great fit for someone interested in retail, styling, customer service, or special event apparel. You do not need to be a fashion expert, but you do need to enjoy working with people, pay attention to detail, and be willing to learn. We can train the right person.

Schedule
Part-time or full-time available. Saturday availability required.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and create a positive, low-pressure shopping experience
  • Help customers select suits, tuxedos, shirts, shoes, and accessories for weddings, proms, missions, interviews, and other occasions
  • Provide basic guidance on fit, style, and budget
  • Take simple measurements and assist with fittings
  • Answer customer questions in-store, over the phone, and online
  • Help process orders and keep communication clear and professional
  • Restock, tag, and organize merchandise
  • Maintain a clean, well-presented sales floor
  • Assist with displays, merchandising, and occasional store promotions
  • Support the team in reaching sales goals and delivering great customer service
  • Help with light cleaning and simple administrative tasks as needed


Qualifications

  • Retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Comfortable starting conversations and building rapport with customers
  • Friendly, professional communication skills in person, by phone, and by email
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Available to work evenings, Saturdays, and some holidays
  • Knowledge of LDS missionary dress standards or menswear is a plus, but not required
