Web Content Manager (Accessibility Focus)

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Local Candidates Only)

The Arizona Department of Veterans' Services (AZDVS) is seeking an experienced Web Content Manager to lead and enforce web accessibility compliance across all agency digital properties. This role serves as the agency's subject matter expert for WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA, ADA Title II, and Section 508 compliance, ensuring all digital content is accessible to veterans, including individuals with disabilities and assistive technology users.

Responsibilities include conducting accessibility audits, remediating digital assets and PDFs, managing CMS content and Drupal-based websites, creating plain-language content, optimizing multimedia accessibility, collaborating with agency divisions, and providing accessibility training to content contributors. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Drupal CMS, web accessibility testing tools, accessible content development, PDF remediation, responsive web design, and accessibility standards compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Drupal CMS
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA, and Section 508
  • Experience conducting accessibility audits and remediation
  • Ability to create and manage accessible web content and digital assets
  • Strong content writing, editing, and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Digital Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
