Job description

If you're interested in starting a career in financial services, Coldstream has a fantastic opportunity to join one of our wealth management teams! As a Client Service Associate with a supportive team, you will learn the Registered Investment Advisor industry from the ground up and have multiple career paths to choose from.
Our team, formerly known as Cable Hill Partners, has been serving clients for over 11 years, helping them align their financial lives with their values, while ensuring our work reflects our own. We are a team of individuals who strive for excellence in everything we do, from how we show up for one another, to the way we deliver a thoughtful, high-quality client experience. In June of 2025 Cable Hill Partners merged with Coldstream, and now we are looking to grow our team.
Team members work from our SW Portland office Monday - Thursday 7:30-4:00pm and Fridays 7:30-2:00pm.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Serving as a liaison between clients and custodians/investment managers, including managing client information and handling all cashiering and money movement requests
  • Scheduling and organizing client meetings and proactively preparing meeting materials in advance
  • Coordinating the new client onboarding process:
  • Opening brokerage accounts, establishing cashiering needs, setting up online reporting access
  • Updating cost basis, tracking required minimum distributions, reconciling account information
  • Sending and receiving documents to clients, their advisors, and investment custodians
  • Entering and maintaining client data and activity notes in our CRM system

Experience and Skills
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience and the desire to provide superior client service in a team-oriented environment (experience working in finance is a plus)
  • Interest in building a career in the wealth management industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce CRM and/or Tamarac portfolio accounting (or similar systems) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, including proper grammar and punctuation
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow established processes consistently
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent reliability
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred due to future career path requirements

Job Benefits
In terms of pay expectations, we assess each candidate individually based on their experience and qualifications and offer competitive compensation that reflects the value they bring to the team. Base pay typically starts between $60k - $70k plus an annual bonus and a generous benefits package.
As a Washington's Best Workplaces awardee, we pride ourselves on our collaborative and supportive culture. We've created a full benefits package that focuses on the growth, health, and wellness of our team members:
  • Pay: Competitive base salary plus annual bonus
  • Benefits: Fully paid premiums for medical/dental/vision, short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance
  • 401(k): 100% company match up to 4% of your annual pay
  • Stock: Opportunity to purchase equity and become an owner of the firm
  • Paid Time Off: Starting at 20 days per year (increases with tenure) - plus 10 holidays and an extra paid day off each year to do volunteer work
  • Career development: 100% training/certification/licensing/dues reimbursement plus a formal mentoring program
  • Parking: heavily subsidized parking (you pay $36 per month) or transit pass
  • Wellness reimbursement
  • Paid Parental leave: 12 weeks paid for all new parents
  • Paid sabbaticals every 10 years and anniversary bonuses every 5 years
