Job Summary:

Forestry Mulching Equipment Operator (Class A CDL Required)

$28.00–$38.00 per hour, depending on experience

Full-time

Monday–Friday with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.

Bush Busters is an East Tennessee land management company specializing in forestry mulching, land clearing, underbrush removal, pasture reclamation, trail cutting, and vegetation management. We operate late-model, professional equipment and take pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining an exceptional safety record and customer experience.

We're looking for a dependable, professional operator who enjoys running equipment, takes pride in quality work, and treats customer property with care and respect.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a compact track loader equipped with a dedicated forestry mulching attachment.
  • Load, transport, and unload equipment using a gooseneck trailer.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Grease equipment, inspect teeth, check fluids, and identify maintenance issues before they become costly repairs.
  • Evaluate job-site hazards before beginning work.
  • Work safely around fences, utilities, structures, vehicles, trees, and other obstacles.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and professional.
  • Communicate courteously with customers and represent Bush Busters professionally.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Experience operating skid steers, compact track loaders, or similar heavy equipment.
  • Experience towing heavy equipment with a gooseneck trailer.
  • Ability to safely load and secure equipment.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Driving record acceptable to our commercial insurance carrier.
  • Professional appearance and customer-friendly attitude.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forestry mulching experience.
  • Experience operating high-flow forestry equipment.
  • Knowledge of East Tennessee vegetation and terrain.
  • Mechanical aptitude and preventive maintenance experience.
  • Experience working independently.
