Job Purpose and Summary At CVS Health, Pharmacy Managers lead a pharmacy team to provide exceptional patient care, ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, support program awareness, and drive continuous improvement in a retail pharmacy environment. Responsibilities Live the company purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunization practices. Oversee pharmacy team during bench shifts, coach and support performance, and follow workflow procedures. Ensure accurate prescription fulfillment and safety guardrails at every workstation. Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration, and resolution of insurance or medication issues. Offer and deliver immunizations, train pharmacy technicians to immunize, and maintain competency. Manage pharmacy inventory, safeguard coldโchain products, and apply best practices. Conduct onboarding for technicians and pharmacists, ensuring timely completion of required training and licensure. Maintain full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and raise any concerns to the Rx Director. Partner with the Store Manager to build and maintain a talent pipeline of crossโtrained, licensed colleagues. Supervise Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists, manage performance through observation, feedback, and annual reviews. Stay flexible with scheduling, support a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic, and create or delegate pharmacy schedules. Review business reports for operational insights and develop action plans to close gaps in workflow, service, patient care, and compliance. Build a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion, encouraging psychological safety and constructive feedback. Maintain clinical and technical skills through required and continuing education, and expand knowledge to better support patients. Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacistโdelivered clinical services such as testing, prescribing, and counseling. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in the state where the store is located. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list. 1โ2 years of experience as a pharmacist. Essential Functions / Core Skills Reliable attendance, including nights and weekends. Preferred Qualifications Completion of CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader program. 3โ5 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Ability to work in the home store and across the market as needed. Pay and Hours Full time, 40 hours per week. Pay range: $65.00โ$85.00 (base hourly rate or annual salary).
