Description

The Drexel Way

We don't just make roof and floor trusses; we Supply. Happiness. Drexel is Team Member-owned and community-driven. With six retail hubs and three manufacturing plants across Wisconsin, we've been a Top Workplace every year since 2011. Why? Because we hire for heart and train for skill. When you join Team Blue, you aren't just a team member-you're an owner.

The Mission:

Join our mission to supply happiness to clients, communities, and your team members. This is an assembler position where you'll build roof and floor trusses for contractors and homeowners, integrating cutting-edge robotic technology and automation into your daily work!. This 2nd shift position brings a unique balance by giving you the opportunity to work Monday-Thursday, having a three day weekend! This shift is 1p-11p. Bring your passion and determination, and get ready for some fun!

Defining the Role:
  • Operate and monitor automated truss-building machinery, ensuring precise positioning of pre-cut boards according to blueprint specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs & climb up and down from heights between 2.5-3 ft repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills.
  • Follow Line Leaders' Instructions.
  • Place metal reinforcement plates over connecting joints.
  • Swing a hammer to connect parts at joints.
  • Perform quality checks, verify dimensions and accuracy of robotic assembly before moving trusses to the stacker.
  • Always maintain a safe and neat work area at all times.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Experience with hand and power tools, and ideally, experience with automated machinery or robotic systems (even if it's just basic operation).
  • Experience with reading building plans and digital schematics.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Your background involves putting customers first.
  • You have been a HUGE contributor to the success of a team.
  • You are uniquely you and bring something to the table that no one else can.
  • You have done some great things that don't necessarily fall into the career path above, but that's what makes you cool! Tell us why you would be great for this job anyway...market yourself to us!

The Drexel Advantage:

The Wealth-Builder
  • ESOP Shares: We don't just work here; we own the place. You'll earn a real stake in the company's success.
  • Profit Sharing: When Drexel wins, our team wins.
  • 401k: A solid foundation for your long-term retirement goals.
Health & Well-Being
  • Comprehensive Coverage: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to keep you and your family "weather-proof."
