Description

We are looking for motivated individuals who are detail-oriented and exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow. While managing a 24/7 production operation, the Daisy Brand Packaging Team strives to provide a work-life balance with an average of 45 hours/week. The Daisy Brand Machine Operator, also referred to as the Packaging Technician, has the primary responsibility of product staging, machine set up, operating, cleaning, and sanitizing the filling machines. The operator will work in a team of 3-6 people who manage the filling and packaging of sour cream and cottage cheese. Principal Duties:

  • Set up, troubleshoot, operate, and change over automated filler, box forming, and packing equipment.
  • Manual loading of packaging materials i.e., cups, foil, shippers, etc.
  • Stage packaging supplies utilizing pallet jacks.
  • Perform and record production and quality controls.
  • Clean and sterilize packaging equipment manually and clean in place.
  • Preventative machine maintenance.
  • Follow Daisy Brand food safety and quality protocols.
  • Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), housekeeping and safe work practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; maintenance-related background preferred.
  • Packaging machine operation and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail regarding machine operation, and outgoing package quality.
  • Must be able to understand and follow all GMP and Safety requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and twist throughout shift.
  • Must be able to multitask while working with a team.
  • Experience in food/dairy production environment preferred.

Shifts Available:

**Schedule rotation may be required for the first 3 months for training purposes.

1st Shift: 6:00am-4:30pm 2nd Shift: 4:15pm – 2:45am

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday OR Wednesday-Saturday

Pay Rate:

Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications. Entry level positions from $23.50/hr.

10% premium pay on off-hours work.

15% premium pay on weekend work.
