Overview

Under the direction of a physician, the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist is committed to applying the art and skill of diagnostic MR imaging through safe and effective useage of all equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient contact, the preparation and administration of IV contrast materials, knowledge of magnetic imaging, patient imaging procedures including computer processing and image enhancements, quality control and magnetic safety.

Responsibilities
  • Performs all MR procedures per department protocol. Must be completely competent with MRI diagnostic exams, as well as all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment.
  • Performs essential RIS/HIS functions.
  • Assists radiologist in all appropriate procedures.
Qualifications
  • HS diploma or equivalent Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program. and 1-2 years experience
  • Employees must obtain Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT MRI or equivalent within 365 days
  • MRI-ARRT NAT Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT MRI ARRT registration in MRI Required 1 Year
  • BLS certification Required 30 Days
  • Current CEUs per requirements Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $36.64/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
