Job description

Weekend Assistant (Childcare) – T.E.A. Center | McLean, VA

One day. Big impact.

Saturday and Sunday at the T.E.A. Center are active, structured, and meaningful. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Assistant Teacher who can manage front desk responsibilities while also supporting classroom activities when needed.

If you are reliable, proactive, and enjoy both organization and working around children—this role is for you.

Location: 1493 Chain Bridge Rd, Suite 100, McLean, VA 22101
Schedule: Saturdays and Sunday

What You’ll Do
  • Welcome families and serve as the first point of contact—warm, professional, and attentive

  • Manage minimal administrative tasks (filing, documentation, records) with accuracy

  • Handle parent communication, inquiries, and scheduling

  • Support tours and enrollment coordination

  • Assist with light marketing tasks and event coordination

  • Support teachers during activities as needed (setup, transitions, supervision support)

  • Help maintain a smooth flow of daily operations across the center

Our Standards (Non-Negotiables)
  • Consistent Saturday and Sunday availability is non-negotiable

  • Strong attention to detail—no shortcuts

  • Reliable, punctual, and accountable

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to multitask and shift between admin and classroom support

You Will Thrive Here If You:
  • Are naturally organized and detail-driven

  • Have a strong sense of urgency and ownership

  • Are flexible and willing to jump in where needed

  • Enjoy working with both families and children

  • Are professional, polished, and dependable

This Is NOT for You If:
  • You are looking for a temporary or short-term role

  • You struggle with organization or consistency

  • You lack experience in a childcare setting

  • You prefer a strictly desk-based role with no interaction with children

  • You are not committed to showing up fully every Saturday

Why the T.E.A. Center?

We are a growing, high-standard childcare center serving families in the McLean/Tysons area. Every team member plays a key role in creating a smooth, supportive, and engaging environment for both children and families.
