Responsibilities:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a leader, trainer, and role model responsible for maintaining Westin cleanliness, quality, and service standards while supporting a positive team environment and exceptional guest experience. This role oversees daily housekeeping operations, coaches and motivates associates, and ensures all operational and safety standards are consistently met.

  • Train, coach, motivate, and support housekeeping associates to maintain Westin standards.
  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations and inspect completed work assignments.
  • Schedule staff based on occupancy, events, and operational needs.
  • Maintain open communication with associates, management, and other departments.
  • Ensure rooms, equipment, and supplies meet cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Assist with hiring, training, retraining, performance feedback, and disciplinary action.
  • Support guest and homeowner satisfaction by addressing questions and concerns professionally.
  • Help maintain training materials, departmental procedures, and operational consistency.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Assist the Housekeeping Director with daily department operations and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with appearance, safety, and Occupational Health and Safety standards.

Other Requirements:

  • Regular attendance and participation in all scheduled meetings and training sessions is required.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Employees are expected to follow all Westin policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds when necessary.
  • Must safely work with cleaning chemicals and wear protective gloves as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Hotel Management education is an asset.
  • Previous housekeeping and supervisory experience in hospitality required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to coach, train, mentor, and support associates professionally and respectfully.
  • Must adapt quickly to change and maintain strong guest and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications preferred.

  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance in compliance with Westin standards.
Skills and Knowledge:

The individual must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
