Castle Hill Inn is looking for a Pastry Supervisor to join the team.

Nestled on 40 acres overlooking the southwestern corner of Narragansett Bay, Castle Hill Inn – a Relais & Chateaux hotel – is a coastal haven where guests come to relax and rejuvenate against a spectacular New England backdrop, a location that is second to none. The property features guest rooms that are perched on the sand dunes of our private beach, a banquet facility, and two restaurants featuring the talents of the culinary team. About the Position: In the Pastry Supervisor role, you will oversees and coordinates activities of pastry production, organization and personnel.

About You: You are passionate about food. You have a strong sense of urgency, great organizational skills, and a positive attitude.

Essential Duties:

  • Monitoring ordering, receiving and storage of all food and pastry related items
  • Oversees par inventory levels, storage and distribution of food and supplies
  • Executes and verifies inventories to ensure accurate cost controls
  • Supervises all pastry personnel to ensure proper food handling, cleanliness of kitchen and maintenance of equipment
  • Records and maintains all sanitation reports to ensure proper food handling
  • Supports Executive Pastry Chef by training and executing recipes to specification

Qualifications:

  • Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two year college or three years of related pastry experience required
