Position: Wound Care Nurse, RN (Registered Nurse) / LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Do you have a passion for wound care and healing patients? Do you enjoy working in a family - oriented atmosphere? Come join our family -oriented team as the RN/LPN Wound Care Nurse at NHC HealthCare St Charles! NHC fosters an environment of teamwork and provides opportunities to use your comprehensive Nursing Tools.
The qualified nurse for this position will assess and evaluate patients with wounds and injuries, and ensure optimum patient care delivery in wound care nursing procedures. The wound care nurse will provide preventative care to ensure infection does not set in and that other complications do not arise. Education and coordinating care with other health professionals is another important aspect of this position.
Position Highlights:
  • Primarily responsible for overseeing the Wound Care Measures
  • Communicate changes in patients' conditions to physicians, supervisors, family members, dieticians, and other partners as appropriate.
  • Be a go-to-person for partner support
  • Ability to educate partners by conducting in-services and one on one learning
  • Ability to investigate, track and trend identified areas of opportunities
  • Provide partner support and coaching
  • Passion for wound care and healing patients
  • On call rotation with other nurse managers
