Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Multispecialty Care team. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands on acute patient care at the bedside.

The Registered Nurse (RN)-Dedicated Call is specifically responsible for coverage of on-call procedures during weekday and/or weekends hours, including holidays, within their designated department. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Due to the nature of the role, practices autonomously and with minimal supervision.
Education Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • If assigned to the Cath Lab: 3 years of nursing experience in a cardiac cath lab is required. May consider 1 year of cath lab nursing experience and at least 2 years of critical care nursing experience. Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral and neuro cases, as well as device implants is required.
  • If assigned to OR, CVOR, GI/Endo, Interventional Radiology: 1 year of nursing experience in designated area is required.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
  • Wisconsin: RNs may begin employment with a valid multi-state RN license; a WI RN license will be required within 30 days of establishing permanent residency.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Cath Lab, GI/Endo and Interventional Radiology: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
