Location: Hurlburt Field, FL, JBSA, TX, and Keesler AFB, MS

Job Status: Full time

Clearance: Secret

Astrion has an exciting opportunity coming up for a Software Developer to join our team and support the 39th Information Operations Squadron (39 IOS) located at Hurlburt Field, FL.

We are preparing to hire for Journeyman, Senior, and SME levels. We anticipate a start date in March/April 2026.

Cyber Operations Formal Training Support III (CyOFTS III) is a Cyber Schoolhouse program supporting delivery, development, and sustainment of cyber training across operationally relevant mission sets. The team supports instruction, curriculum and content development, training operations, and program execution at multiple Air Force and joint training locations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Active secret clearance
  • Education and experience will depend on the labor category level.
    • Previous SD experience is required.
  • AWS certified developer
  • MS Azure experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform software development duties consistent with the Software Developer labor category.
  • Provide senior software development expertise consistent with the SME experience requirement (10+ years).
  • Support functions aligned to DCWF work roles (e.g., DevSecOps Specialist; Software Developer; Software/Cloud Architect; Software Test and Evaluation Specialist) as applicable.
  • Maintain and apply required certifications within the scope of assigned duties.
  • Document and maintain software configurations, releases, and supporting technical documentation as applicable.
  • You will understand computer and software programming concepts and methodologies equivalent to: AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate, C and C++ Certifications, or other similar certifications.
  • You will collaborate with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
  • You will design algorithms, scripts, and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems.
  • You will prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • You will produce code based on customer and platform requirements.
  • You will Test and deploy programs and applications.
  • You will observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products multiple networks.
  • You will develop information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.
  • You will develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • You will improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies, procedures, and programming.
  • You will assist the government with management of software licenses by maintaining a master list of all software license requirements, cost, number of license, and expiration dates.
  • You will design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming and scripting applications for integration into training systems and ranges
