Job description

Offering Relocation Assistance if you live more than 75 miles from Hillsdale, plus we'll pay up to $5,250 on your student loan!

Work Schedule and Shift Premiums

Full Time (Nights) 7:00 pm to 7:00 am | 36 hours/week, including every other or every third weekend

  • 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour
  • 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour
  • weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour

Qualifications

  • Valid Michigan RN license
  • At least one year of OB Labor and Delivery experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred but not required
  • BLS required, ACLS, NRP, and TEAM certifications required within one year of hire - all are available through Hillsdale Hospital

Responsibilities

  • Taking vitals for the mom and baby
  • Administering medication
  • Monitoring contractions
  • Identifying complications during labor and delivery
  • Communicating the mom’s condition and needs to the Physician
  • Coaching the mom during labor and delivery
  • Caring for the mom after she gives birth
  • Caring for newborn
  • Participating in unit specific/hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assist with activities that enhance quality of nursing practices
