Perfection Chain Products has an opportunity available for a manual wire form operator! This position's hourly rate is negotiable, depending on experience and is eligible for our full benefits package. The Workweek for this position Full-Time, (40 hours per week with overtime opportunities) Monday - Friday, with two different shifts available. This position will work on-site at our facility in Cullman, Alabama.
Available shifts:
  • 1st Shift, Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (OT available before shift and occasional weekends)
  • 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM (OT available after shift and occasional weekends)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perfection Chain Products (PCP) has been manufacturing a wide variety of metal products since 1848 and is currently the largest producer of weldless chain products in North America. PCP is hiring a Production Operator to run manual wire forming machines for its operations in Cullman, AL. Other duties include but are not limited to:
  • Setting up and operating machinery to perform precision wire forming operations.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished products.
  • Performing routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning.
  • Monitoring machine operations and adjusting as necessary to maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes.
  • Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

This position works in a warehouse environment and will be standing/walking during most shifts. The operator should expect to be on their feet during most of the shift.
Who we are seeking in an applicant:
This position requires a person with excellent mechanical aptitude; we are seeking an individual who is familiar with traditional metal manufacturing concepts and/or CNC machining. Additional qualifications include:
  • STRONG Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity of precision measuring instruments and their use (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
