Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans.
- Accurately document resident assessments, treatments, and nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to facility policies.
- Transcribe physician orders and maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MARs).
- Coordinate with the pharmacy regarding new medication orders and prescription changes.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly.
- Provide wound care and other clinical treatments as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement resident care plans.
- Educate residents and family members regarding treatments and care plans.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing experience is preferred but not required.
